Discover More Content and Listening Options With HD Radio
HD Radio is a Digital Broadcast technology that enables high-quality sound with crystal clear reception, low noise, and no audio distortion.

Multicasting allows more accesible stations that contain additional music format, genre, and talk radio options that have, until now, never been heard through other radio broadcast mediums.

HD Radio is being broadcast in over 200 major U.S. Markets and growing. It is completely free of charge--all you need is a HD Radio-enabled stereo.

And of course, you can still tune into your favorite AM and FM stations.

iTunes Tagging
iTunes Tagging lets you "tag" songs you hear on local HD Radio stations so you can purchase them later from the iTunes store.

Separated Variable Color
The KD-HDR60 features a Full-Dot LCD with JVC's Separated Variable-Color. Personalize your stereo to match your vehicle's interior illumination colors. Separated variable color lets you use two separate colors from a choice of over 30,000 options to create your own color scheme.

An advanced multi-bit analog-to-digital converter provides a solid sound base, and you can perfect it with the seven-band EQ. For quiter listening, a Loudness function is provided, to ensure you still get some low-end and dynamics.

USB Audio and Video for iPod/iPhone
The USB connection for iPod/iPhone provides clear digital sound directly from your iPod or iPhone. While your device is in use, it also receives a charge, so it's ready to step out of the car when you do. 5 out of 5 stars AWESOME!   May 15, 2010

This stereo is pretty cool. Very good EQ choices. Tons of colors to choose from. The ipod connectivity is a little slow, and switching from head unit to ipod mode could be faster. Easy install. The HD radio is awesome. Plenty of stations to choose from. There are no preset buttons but presets are easy to use. Comes with a cute little remote, as my girlfriend stats. My whole family uses it, so the user interface it easy. Over all this is a great stereo, good for its price. I would totally recommend.

4 out of 5 stars Great unit for price, but...   May 8, 2010

After spending a couple weeks doing research on HD radio receivers (with it BUILT-IN, not "capable") at retail stores like Best Buy and online, I bit the bullet on this unit through Amazon. The unit shipped fast, and there were instructions to install (it also comes with everything necessary but the wire harness), as well as a 1 year warranty.

I bought this unit because it was the cheapest unit with all the features I wanted (HD Radio & USB), and also because I love the colors and way that radio presets are handled -- instead of there only being 6 buttons along the bottom so that each band can only have 6 presets like most other receivers, this unit just has an up and down arrow which you cycle through for each FM band, and has up to 18 presets for each -- and I use that amount! Also, the unit can auto-detect usb/aux inputs which is cool.

While I love many features of this unit, I do have a few issues...first of all, don't be sucked into all this "capable" BS. Bluetooth capable, etc means you need to purchase a $60-80 add-on; it is cheaper (and less of a hassle) to just buy a unit with bluetooth built in. Secondly, the way usb is handled is sort of...terrible. The navigation is just flat out awful (and I'm a computer scientist; I'm supposed to be good at this stuff!) and after reading the manual just realized it is easier to simply use the usb port as a charger, and then use the aux input to play audio so that I can control everything from my device (a blackberry). Sad, but it really is much simpler...Lastly, the remote is pretty basic and unneeded; still, I am not a fan of remotes for car stereos, so maybe I am just biased.

All in all, I recommend this unit, especially because of its low price.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Value   March 20, 2010

You can't beat this product for the price.

The FM quality is very good, very clear.
I can pick up stations that I was unable to receive before (too weak of a signal--maybe my other head unit was going bad?).
The HD is very cool; crystal clear and a wider stereo effect.
Downside to HD is that it drops out when signal is weak.
4GB usb thumbdrive worked flawlessly.
The overall sound is very good, in my opinion.
I have the option to upgrade to bluetooth and sat radio as well.
I am very satisfied.

On the downside, I find the menu and buttons cumbersome.
Some of the buttons are too small, the menus are not intuitive, etc.
The remote is VERY basic.
Still, I am very satisfied.

I give it a 5 because of the price and options.

5 out of 5 stars Awsome Stereo   March 16, 2010

iWhat/iWho who cares , you can plug a storage drive into the usb port giving you a jukebox selection, and its got hd tuner built in. these features aren't available on any other unit in this price range. Providing good speakers it has great lifelike sound and the 7 band EQ make this an awsome stereo. Its only problem is no rear rca out, my solution was to use the front rca and swap my front and rear speaker wires. It works instantly with genaric SD card and reader.
